Mortgage delinquency and principal reductions should be handled on case by case bases, according individual situation of a borrower. Hard left or hard right could never be a fully positive move and acceptable on the both sides of the isle. Therefore, there is simply no other way of approaching the matter and I do not understand how come that decision makers haven't see that so far?!!

No I believe the environmental impact is much too great to build a land mass to build real estate on. Also the building code in countries like Dubai is much less stringent than that of the US. So even if we could build it how long would the land last before it washed back into the river?

Hi ! FOLKS, Who else but the realtors should handle the pets left behind ? Seems to me that the realtors are for a large part are the cause of those poor souls to lose their homes in the first place ! QUITE A PR move, why don`t all the realtors give back their commissions on the homes being foreclosed on ? Further more why don`t the realtors pro-bono help the current homeowners in default to readjust their mortgages. SEEMS TO ME THERE WOULD MANY MORE FOLKS & THEIR PETS LEFT IN HOMES. I Feel it is incumbent for the folks that caused this problem in the first place, make amends by at least trying to correct the mess their poorjudgement "GREED" caused in the First Place !!

I bought one of those run down homes in Detroit, put $30,000 into renavations had it rented but had a major problem finding a good reliable and trusting Property Management to take care of it because I live in California. The city needs to give Investors willing to put money into the area homes need to have a tax break for the firsat 3 to 4 years.

I think the real estate investors are the solution for saving Detroit from bankruptcy. When investors buy homes, renovate them, and resell or rent them to qualified residents they can revitalise the city in every aspect. When homes are occupied and properly managed,it is a win win situation for all. The city gets it's tax revenue, local jobs can be created, and communities as a whole improve. As a Detroit businesswoman, I have been encouraging investors on the local and national levels to invest in the Detroit real estate market. In fact I have helped develope and manage several real estate joint ventures for investors who are very happy with the high returns on their investments. I feel commited to revitalise the Detroit Metro community by extending my knowledge and expertise to help Detroit residents and to improve the city one home at the time.

It is my opinion that Google, being a Search Engine should not be in the business of removing websites. The Agency of the Government that wants to investigate website scams regarding foreclosures or the like can use the "Search" to find these sites and shut them down. Google is not the government and should not be an agent of the government. It is possible that some of the advertisers (theirs) they have suspended may not be scammers. Some businesses have been hurt by Google that are honest businesses, also some hurt by the government, too, because the acted before checking things out thoroughly first. Your website is your real estate, and while there should be online rules to follow, if the rules are not in alignment for some sites, they should receive a warning first and time to make corrections, allowing that the business is not scamming people.

There are so many rotting shells of former homes there, there needs to be a massive public/private effort to completely bulldoze some areas and turn them into parks, and tear down/rebuild the rest.

I believe you should be innocent until proven guilty so alleged allegations should not be able to disrupt a companies business. On the other hand if they ate proven guilty they should have the book and then some thrown at them. I do believe the banks are running around lawless at this time.

The fact remains that as higher-end home loss even more value this will cause a wave of decreased value down the food chain. I contend that higher-end borrowers pay more in taxes and should also be given the same programs as the other borrowers. If values continue to drow the losses would be greater than if and when the housing market becomes stable and people stop walking away from their homes.
