A Sign Of Better Things To Come? Palin Purchases Arizona Property

Posted on January 6th 2011 No Comment

Sometimes, all it takes is a celebrity home buyer and owner to make a place interesting to real estate and/or celebrity enthusiasts. It is no wonder then that residents of an Arizona town got to talking when a daughter of a highly popular and controversial politician bought a home in the area.

Sarah Palin’s 20-year old daughter Bristol Palin, who recently made a name for herself by landing a spot in the finals of Dancing with the Stars, has purchased a five-bedroom house in Maricopa, Arizona. As the area has been hit hard during the real estate slump, this new activity sure has the locals wondering whether this is a sign of better things to come for the local real estate market.

Palin’s purchase is a two-story, 3,900-square-foot home the neighborhood of Maricopa’s Cobblestone Farms. It was built in 2005 and was then priced at over $300,000. Last week, Palin got a good deal on it as she only paid $172,000 cash.

According to the house’s listing service report, Palin’s new place “overlooks beautiful landscaped backyard with brick border and covered patio for year round entertaining…. Your friends & family will enjoy the large backyard, perfect for volleyball, BBQs and more! [The kitchen features] gorgeous tile backsplash.”
